Introduction Hello everyone my name is Nurullah and I am from group 2 2D2 and these are my group mates Chloe, Leo and Moeez this is our groups project learning ppt

What is our sub topic? Our subtopic is a fruit cutter. We chose this product because we think that this item is very useful and good in our lives as we can cut watermelons or melons or more easily

First let’s talk about our design brief and specifications First let’s talk about our purpose for this design. We think that this kind of tool should be recognized more and be modified. Also for the people that can use this range from 12 and above. The function of the artefact is that is makes cutting melons or watermelon or other things easily. Also the structure of the design is round plastic or wood base and blades pointing to the middle also the material is made of plastic wood or metal blades

Here are the DAta that we got from our data collection The blades are not strong. The round base is plastic. It is easier to use than a knife. It may take some force to cut the melons

Here is the original design of the product.

Strengths of the product. 1)It is easier to use than knife. 2) Saves time when cutting it. 3) It cuts into more pieces in a faster rate than knife. 4)cheap to buy 5)Easy to obtain.

Weakness of the product 1)The base is made of plastic 2)The blades are not strong 3)Easy to bend blades 4)Easy to break if not careful 5)Easy to rust.

Our overall Evaluation It is cheap but not that strong so that the product won’t last very long and may break in a couple tries later. But it does save time and is easier to use than knife.

Recommendations to improve the product The base will be changed to wood. In the middle of the blades where the circle is located we will reinforce that so the blades can be stable. Get better material for the blades. Have a safety case for the blades so they don’t fall and cut people. Have stronger handles so that the person can cut better.

Our reflection Throughout the project learning we have been thinking and making as a team the teamwork makes the dreamwork.

Throughout the study we learned That in a group no one does the work alone, we let people share and express their ideas and always work together to build or make something.
