Has the Internet Changed Language? Complete the quiz on your desk. How well did you do?

Think, Pair, Share, Square Read the BBC article. Now, work in pairs to annotate, picking out as many positive / negative points on the impact of the internet on language as you can. Now turn round and add to your notes with the people behind. Most will acquire knowledge of the way in which the internet has changed the English Language.

Preparing a Debate In your books, create a table like the one on the next slide. Compile as many positive / negative points about the impact of the internet on language as you can. This will form the basis of your analysis. Some will be able to analyse the positive and negative impact that the internet has had on our language.
