Welcome! to 8th or 9th Grade Science Mr. Petersen Disclosure PowerPoint This Disclosure statement is Assignment Number 2 And needs to be signed by your Parents and put in your portfolio for future reference & Binder Checks

First of Class Directions Put students in the seating chart. This is not set in stone! Have Students Fill Out “Student Schedules”. This is for your use.

Pass out the Disclosure Statement Take this assignment home and have your parents sign it for 25 Points. Due TOMORROW!

Class Rules Bring Paper and Pencil to Class everyday. Stay in your assigned seats except during group activities. Students must be in their assigned seat before the bell stops ringing. No hall Passes the first and last ten minutes of class. Do not bring food, toys, or electronic games to class. Accept responsibility for your own behavior. It is not appropriate to continue bad behavior just because everyone else is doing it.

Grading Late assignments may be penalized up to 50% of the value. Grading Scale 100-90=A 89-80=B 79-70=C 69-60=D 59-0=F Participation points will be given to students to help their grades. These points can be earned by volunteering, helping, etc. Three Ringed BINDER is required and have a section for science. Portfolio with Assignment Log (Collection of Assignments) = 50 Points UTIPS and Acuity Tests

Citizenship Points are given if students volunteer to read, helping the teacher or another student, etc. Points are taken away if the student talks after the bell rings and if the student is talking when the teacher is talking. Please make note that we will also be following the “School-Wide Citizenship Grading Policy” found in the Bonneville Junior High Student Planne.
