Mays Elementary Important Dates Changes to Transportation September 21, 2015 Important Dates New Teacher Changes to Transportation We have a new Pre-K teacher. Mrs. Amber Castro is our new Pre-K teacher for the ½ day Pre-K class. She has been a teacher in San Antonio for several years prior to moving to Temple. September 22nd – fire drill September 24th – Big Kahuna fundraiser kickoff September 25th – Pep Rally at the high school October 1st – Report Cards October 12th – Columbus Day – Parent Conferences October 13th – End of Big Kahuna fundraiser October 13th – PTO meeting 6:00 at MES October 20th – Fall picture retakes October 20th – Progress reports November 17th – Kindergarten music program, Math night and bookfair If you need to make a change to your child’s transportation, we ask that you communicate the change prior to 2:00. We begin sending out all changes to the teachers at 2:15. Changes after this time makes it difficult for staff members to ensure that all children are in the correct places when we dismiss. Shirt and Apparel Orders The last day that we can accept order is Friday, September 25th. The orders will be placed that afternoon and should arrive within 3-4 weeks. Tardy Students We close our cafeteria doors at 8:05, when the bell rings. If you arrive after the door closes, please escort your child into the office so that you can sign them in. After five tardies, students will be required to make up the missed class time afterschool. Please try to be on time everyday.
