Program Identity Who are we?

Vision & Mission Vision Mission Statement Coaching Focus A program that champions the development of the student athlete Mission Statement To be a disciplined, hardworking, competitive team that strives for excellence, exudes confidence in our values, and expresses passion in service to our community Coaching Focus To create an environment where academic and athletic excellence are experienced at a high level.

Values & Expectations Values Expectations Respect Discipline Hard Work To make Championship Choices - These are the hard choices that may require some sacrifices. These are choices that are above and beyond day-to-day decisions to go against what is popular and cool among peers and to focus on the path of great success.

Locker Room / Discipline No Hazing Policy (AIA, CUSD, School Level and Program) No Bullying Doesn’t matter how small or big – Zero Tolerance Policy Locker Room Culture Knowing the athletes (relationships) Open Door Policy All athletes are issued a lock Discipline (if an athlete can’t discipline oneself then a coach must) Situational Discipline (Isolated or Team) We can all learn from an isolated incidence Example: why did Mitchel have to run for Johnny’s mistake? The answer: Mitchel may think twice now if ever put in that same position.

Topics NOT Open for Discussion with Coach Game Strategy Playing Time Position Players can discuss this with coach. But don’t try to fill them with stuff to regurgitate

Parent Expectations Uphold our Team Philosophy Adhere to the rules and policies of our league Be respectful of one another & our Casteel families Let coaches coach - DO NOT coach from the sidelines Be humble and patient with players and coaches Support our team the best you can Especially when in the stands during games because you could be sitting next to a family members or close friend of a player. Parent Accountability  Step 1 Direct Communication  Step 2 Formal Documentation of Issue to GFA Board  Step 3 Formal Write-up to GFA Board o Recommendation of Actions to be Taken  Dependent on severity of situation o Skip Directly Step 3
