Present Continuous

We use the Present Continuous: For actions taking place now, at the moment of speaking. (I’m learning now.) For temporary actions; that is action that are going on around now, but not at the actual moment of speaking. (I’m looking for a job these days.) With adverbs such as: always, constlanty, continually, etc. For actions which happen very often, usually to express annoyance, irritation or anger. I’m always meeting Alex when I go shopping You’re constantly interrupting me when I’m talking. For changing or developing situations. More and more species are becoming extinct.

Affirmative Sentences When we want to make an affirmative sentence in Present Continuous we use: ”to be” and an adjective with ~ing. You are watching TV. She is singing. I am speaking English

Negative Sentences You are not (aren’t) watching TV! When we want to make negative sentences in Present Continuous we use: ”to be” + NOT and an adjective with ~ing. You are not (aren’t) watching TV! She is not (isn’t) singing! I am not speaking English!

Interrogative Sentences When we want to make interrogative sentences in Present Continuous we use inversion: Am/is/are - (I/you/he/she/it/we/they) and an adjecwiwe with ~ing. Are you watching TV? Is she singing? Am I speaking English?

REMEMBER !!! The Present Continuous is used with the following time expression: now, at the moment, at present, these days, still, nowadays, today, tonight, ect.
