If Martin Luther King Jr had Instagram … Learning Gain: All learners will explore the historical perspective of Martin Luther King in relation to significant historical events. Today we will: Research events involving Martin Luther King Jr Explore MLK’s role in the Civil Rights movement Consider how MLK would have felt/responded to different events Make conclusions about MLK’s historical perspective Display findings in a creative way

Today you will create an Instagram post from the historical perspective of Martin Luther King Jr. Create an Instagram handle/name, with a basic picture. Insert an image to represent an important historical event involving MLK. Consider other people from the time period who might “like” the post. Describe an important historical event involving MLK from his perspective. You may wish to #hashtag the name of the event.

Check your e-mail. Open the attached file: “Martin Luther King. pdf Check your e-mail. Open the attached file: “Martin Luther King.pdf.” Choose an event from the timeline to research. Step 1 Create your Instagram post using the template sent to you. Be sure to follow the example. Step 2 Step 3 Complete the Instagram worksheet to draw conclusions about the event and MLK’s historical perspective. Glue this in your book when complete.
