Retake/Retest & Late-Dos/Late-Takes Policies Purnell Swett High School 2016-2017

Retake/Retest Policy In an effort to ensure that students succeed, there is a Retake/Retest option available to ALL students. All students may retest within two consecutive Learning Centers from the date of receiving the unwanted grade. Students who are present during a regular scheduled test may not opt out of taking the test with the intent of taking it during Learning Center. The new grade is a replacement grade, not an average of the two scores. In order for students to retake/retest, they must have all missing assignments completed and turned in for that unit. Students cheating will be given a zero with no opportunity to retest. There is a retake/retest form available to teachers.

Late-Dos/Late-Takes Policy In an effort to ensure that students succeed, there is a Late-Do/Late-Take option available to all students. If students are absent on the day of a test, they have two consecutive learning centers after the original test/assignment date. If students are missing work from a classroom absence, they have two consecutive learning centers to complete and turn in the work. If students are absent on an assignment due date, the assignment is due on the day of return.
