Excluded from the priesthood 59-63  And these were the ones who came up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addan, and Immer; but they could not identify their father’s house or their genealogy, whether they were of Israel:  the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, and the sons of Nekoda 652; and of the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Koz, and the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called by their name. These sought their listing among those who were registered by genealogy, but they were not found; therefore they were excluded from the priesthood as defiled. And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most holy things till a priest could consult with the Urim and Thummim.

Lesson 3 - RIGHT FAMILY If your name’s not on the list, you’re not getting in!

Revelation 20:11-15 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small & great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Totals v64-67 The whole assembly together was 42360, besides their male & female servants, of whom there were 7337; and they had 200 men & women singers. Their horses were 736, their mules 245, their camels 435, and their donkeys 6720.

Arrival offerings 68 Some of the heads of the fathers’ houses, when they came to the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God, to erect it in its place: 69 According to their ability, they gave to the treasury for the work 61000 gold drachmas, 5000 minas of silver, & 100 priestly garments.

Lesson 4 - RIGHT GIVING Giving is a natural consequence of our gratitude to God Are you stingy (mean) with God? Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” What are you grateful for? 1,2,3

A place for everything 70 So the priests & the Levites, some of the people, the singers, the gatekeepers, & the Nethinim, dwelt in their cities, & all Israel in their cities.

Lesson 5 - RIGHT PRIORITIES Getting right with God means everything can get into its right place Ezra 1:2-3 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. 3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the LORD God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.

Conclusion RIGHT PLACE Remember where you’ve come from; remember where you’re going RIGHT JOB Find your job in the kingdom RIGHT FAMILY If your name is not on the list, the other points don't apply to you! RIGHT GIVING Giving is natural when we are grateful to God RIGHT PRIORITIES Getting right with God is the beginning of everything else being right – right place, right job, right heart, right giving, right priorities
