ADVERTISING: Any paid form of non-personal presentation of ideas, goods, or services

BRAND/COMPANY LOYALTY: Customers' allegiance to a particular brand or company

COMPANY MARK/LOGO: A distinctive symbol, design, or group of letters that is seen but cannot be spoken

Trademark: LANHAM ACT: Federal law that provides trademark protection; specifies proper procedures for registering trademarks Usually an identifying device that is more visual than verbal, although it may combine words and symbols, or it may be a created or a uniquely spelled word. Examples: Levi Strauss, Smith Brothers, General Electric, or Cadillac.
