Perspectives Review

English 11 What do you remember about the perspectives unit in English 11? Why is it important to consider perspectives when reading texts?

English 12 Perspective: a way of looking at something A person’s perspective of things rests on the following aspects: Religion Life Experiences Things going on in the world around him/her Daily life events Family History Education Mental State

Where do you fit? When we look at where we fit into the scheme of things (our place in the world), why would it be important to understand our perspective on things?

What role does our perspective play in... Interpreting what is happening in a picture? Making travel plans? Watching a movie? Listening to music? Interacting with others?

What’s your view? The next few slides include single words or pictures. Look at the slide, and provide me with your view/perspective of the element on that slide. Your response can be a word, story, or reaction that comes to mind.
