LOST? The first Christmas was chaotic and full of difficulty and conflict, and yet “Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart”. Mary considered all the chaos around her and found peace in the midst of the mess.
The Christmas story reminds us that, though we might find ourselves in difficult and messy situations, Jesus, the Prince of Peace, can give to us a peace that passes understanding.
Peace doesn’t mean troubles are absent, but that God is present. It was to “unloved” and lowly shepherds that an angelic choir appeared, sharing with them a message of “good news that will cause great joy for all the people”.
You are loved by God more than you can ever imagine. The Magi or Wisemen were filled with joy when they finally encountered this little child they had travelled so long and sacrificed so much to see.
The Bible tells us that Jesus is not only worth searching for, He’s the only thing worth searching for.
