“The Hit Man” What point of view is the story told in? How does the POV impact tone? Boyle knows this story is confusing so he uses certain techniques to help the reader. What does he do in order to help the reader better understand the story? Rewrite “Early Years,” “Father’s Death,” or “Moods” using first person. (Pay attention to verb tense.) How did that POV shift affect the tone? Does it change your impression of the Hit Man? How? Does it change the humor?
