Journal writing and sharing Journal Prompt: Write about an experience that you remember from your childhood. This is an example of “narrative writing:” Include this information: Where did the incident happen? When did it happen? Who was there? What happened? Why? How did you or the people around feel? Why?

Vocabulary Work Page 5 – 7 These vocabulary words will be on your exam so make sure you study them.

Group Discussion Choose a leader, reporter, recorder. What does a leader do? Leads and makes the discussion continue. What does a reporter do? Tells the ideas to the class. What does a recorder do? Takes notes nicely so the reporter can share the groups ideas. USE ENGLISH MOST OF THE TIME!!

Family and Growing Up You should select a leader, reporter and recorder first. Then discuss as many questions as possible in 20 minutes. Each member can choose different questions to discuss.
