Ch 8.5 Recursive rules

Get our your 8.2 hw and review with your groups! I will walk around If you get all done, grab a computer and follow these instructions: MG7MK

Reminder: Ch 7 Speed Round It will be the back part of the written test (so Ch 7.5) You can earn up to 7 points back. These points will go directly to your Ch 7 score. In order to take it, you must go online and complete the Worksheet with more practice problems. If you got above a 30 on the test, you can take the speed round march 22 at lunch If you got between a 15-29 on the test, you can take the speed round march 23 at lunch If you got between a below a 14 on the test, you can take the speed round march 24 at lunch

“Warming Up to 8.5” What is this famous sequence called? 2) Discuss the following pattern in this sequence with your groups: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21…. 3) Try these on pg 239 of your Student Journal What is this famous sequence called? The Fibonacci Sequence! Could you write a formula for it?

Video for tonight’s HW…. “The Fibonacci Sequence: Nature's Code” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTlw7fNcO-0 You never know if I give a POP quiz on this tomorrow or the next day… if you measure your height and compare it to the distance from the floor to your navel, then the resulting ratio is approximately 1.618:1, which is also known as the golden ratio.
