I. State of play - All Member States but 4 (DE, NL, FI and SE) use SDMX 2.0 for JVS transmissions; - DE transmits csv files, whereas NL, FI, SE as well as NO and CH still use the old standard (SDMX 1.0); - Still recurrent errors are detected (BE, DE, CY, LV, HU, MT, AT, SE and NO). => It will be soon possible to check SDMX syntax through the STRUVAL application in Edamis
II. SDMX 2.1 Very limited changes: - 1 Dimension: CL_ADJUSTMENT (changed to include "_Z") - 2 Attributes: UNIT_MEASURE (changed) EMBARGO_TIME (added)

Embargos in SDMX 2.1: - Handled at the observation level (series × time period) - CONF_STATUS shall be set at 'N' (not for publication) - EMBARGO_TIME filled with: "yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss" => After the embargo time has elapsed, CONF_STATUS will be set at 'F' (free for publication) => If an embargo is needed for job vacancy rate series, independently from the components, please inform: ESTAT-VACANCY-STATISTICS@ec.europa.eu
III. Implementation - October 2017: SDMX 2.1 in test (2017Q2 data) - Nov / Dec 2017: SDMX 2.1 in prod. (2017Q3 data)
IV. Proposal LAMAS is invited to take note of / comment on: - The (limited) changes introduced in SDMX 2.1; - The proposal to test SDMX2.1 transmissions this month; - The proposal to use SDMX2.1 in production from reference quarter 2017Q3 onwards (flash + final); - The renaming of Edamis flows (JVS instead of JVC) as of 16 October.
