Summary In The Tale of Despereaux a small mouse with big ears goes on a great adventure! Despereaux Tilling is not an average mouse! He talks with humans and doesn’t act like a normal mouse. This book is also about a slow-witted orphan whose father traded her away, and a cold-hearted rat, living in a dungeon. These three characters along with a princess whose mother died are about to go on an adventure that will change everything.
