1. crestfallen crestfallen (adjective) – sad and disappointed Sample sentence: “Si,” replied Lupita, crestfallen that they were so far from their destination, but relieved by the friendliness of this pocho. Synonyms – downhearted, depressed, glum

8. goodwill goodwill (noun): friendly disposition; kindness Sample Sentence: At those times, Lupita left her alone; she and Salvador would need Concha’s help and goodwill. Synonyms: friendliness

9. inaudible inaudible (adjective): incapable of being heard Sample Sentence: Concha said that was how the gringos like their music, almost inaudible, as if their ears were very tender. Synonyms: muffled, faint, low, noiseless
