The basic philosophy of MOOCs is 3A’s i.e., Anytime, Anyone, Anywhere. EPGP is a teacher’s material while MOOC is school / university.

10 SWAYAM & EPGP 1.What is difference between e-PG Pathshala and SWAYAM? e-PG Pathshala provides e-content for post-graduate courses in various subjects in four quadrant. It can be accessed as Open Educational Resource where no teacher support/hand-holding for students is available. SWAYAM is a web platform on which MOOCs shall be hosted. These MOOCs shall have teacher-student groups where MOOC coordinator/tutor/teacher will be interacting with the learner. A learner can earn certificate/credit on successful completion of course on SWAYAM. 2. What is relation between e-PG Pathshala and SWAYAM? e-PGPathshala hosts the content for PG students which can be used for offering courses through MOOCs (SWAYAM). Every paper in a subject can potentially be offered as a course by converting as per the 3. What is the process of identifying course coordinators and their roles? The UGC through PIs of e-PGPathshala has identified paper coordinators who are willing to offer their services as PI for a given course (paper). The role of course coordinators would be to convert a course into MOOC in a comprehensive manner following the guidelines and to ensure that model curriculum prescribed by the UGC is followed and the curricula is updated to cover all recent developments in the field.

Repurposing Content Requirement Work on existing content developed under e-PG Pathshala Action Plan Examine existing content with respect to four quadrants. Coverage of all topics for a given course in four quadrants. Supplement existing materials with transcriptions of video, incorporation of multimedia, if required.

Repurposing Content Requirement Sequencing and chunking Action Plan Course Plan (week-wise) can be developed by sequentially arranging the modules for each paper of e-PGPathshala in a sequential manner. After this, 2-3 modules need to be clubbed spanning the distribution across weeks as “WEEK-1”, WEEK-2”, WEEK-3” and so on. An appropriate title reflecting the topics contained in the modules scheduled in the same week need to be provided.
