Why Should We Worship God?

God Is Worthy of Worship Glory belongs to God – Psalms 29:2; 99:3; 100:4. God is creator, provider, and savior – Revelation 4:11; 14:7; 5:12. God is worthy of worship – Revelation 4:11; 5:12.

All Creation Is Made to Worship God Worship fulfills our purpose – Isaiah 43:6–7, 21; 1 Peter 2:9. We have a choice – Genesis 1:26–27; Psalms 19:1; 148:1– 14; John 4:23–24. Creatures are designed to worship – Colossians 1:16; Ephesians 1:6, 12, 14.

Worship Expresses Our Love for God Love is a response to the person and the activity of God himself. Love is the basis of our relationship with God – Mark 12:30; Deuteronomy 6:5.

He is your praise and he is your God, who has done these great and awesome things for you which your eyes have seen. Your fathers went down to Egypt seventy persons in all, and now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars of heaven.
