DG2019-2020-C1 Funding Window closed on the 11 April 2019 CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7.1 DG2019-2020-C1 Update DG2019-2020-C1 Funding Window closed on the 11 April 2019 Total of R3billion in applications received Total funds for approval in Cycle-1 is R294million All due diligences processes have concluded 1st level and 2nd Level evaluation of applications have been completed Final recommendations will be taken to the Grants Committee and Board by end May 2019 for approval

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7.1 DG2019-2020-C1 Update, cont DG2019-2020-C1   Tranche 1a Tranche 1b Tranche 2 Tranche 3 Stakeholders to receive Award(approval / non-approval) letters – 31 May 2019 MoA released to stakeholders 03 June 2019 MoA end date 06 December 2020 All of MOAs signed by 28 June 2019 All T1b evidence to be submitted by 30 November 2019 latest All T2 evidence must be submitted no later than 14 February 2020 All T3 evidence must be submitted no later than 13 November 2020 Q1~2019/2020 Q2-3~ 2019/2020 Q4~2019/2020 Q3- 2020/2021

WSP Submissions closed on the 30 April 2019 CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7.2 WSP 2019-2020 Update WSP Submissions closed on the 30 April 2019 WSP extension requests opened on the 08 April 2019 and closed on the 18 April 2019 5 extension requests applied for on the system - 3 of 5 stakeholders have submitted before the closure 2 extension requests will be taken for approval to the relevant committees Regional WSP evaluations are underway and will conclude by 31 May 2019 WSP approval letters to be released on the 21 June 2019

7.3 Strategic Projects Update CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7.3 Strategic Projects Update SP2019-2020-C1 Funding Window closed on the 11 April 2019 Total of R391million in applications received Total funds for approval in Cycle-1 is R42 million All due diligences processes have concluded 1st level and 2nd Level evaluation of applications have been completed Final recommendations will be taken to the Grants Committee and Board by end May 2019 for approval

CHIETA, The Catalyst for Enhanced Skills, Economic Growth and Employability 7.4 Sweep Notice Sweeps Will result in the recovery or pro-rata recovery of Tranche 1a payments if no implementation is recorded To be submitted on the CHIETA Sweep request template in consultation with the Regional Skills Advisor All expired (No Contractual Commitment) MoAs will be automatically swept unless an extension is approved before expiry – This will result in a recovery of Tranches paid if no implementation has taken place All Contracts under DG2013-14 to DG2017-2018-C2 and Appeals will be swept and closed unless request for extensions have been submitted (No Contractual Commitment)
