Snacks Students may bring a HEALTHY snack on days when lunch is before 11. They will have about 10 minutes at the beginning of 7th period to eat their snack. If snacks become a disruption, they may be taken up. Students may NOT share snacks with friends. All trash must be placed in the garbage after completing the snack.

Morning Routine If students eat breakfast at school, go to the cafeteria to eat BEFORE going to the classroom. Everyone else goes to their locker to get supplies before reporting to advisory class. Bring something to read or work on silently. At 8:10, students leave advisory and report to their 1st period class. Be seated in their assigned seat by 8:15. Students are tardy if not here by 8:15.

Advisory/AVID Advisory is only on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. It is a pass/fail class. This time will be for teaching AVID strategies such as the binder, organization, note taking and overall student improvement There will be advisory grades for the binder and planner.

Hallway Behavior Students will walk in the hallway. Students will use the right side of the stairway when going up or down stairs. Students will not run, skip, or jump down the stairs. Horseplay will result in a common area signing. After 3, there is a lunch/recess detention

Classroom Expectations Be responsible Treat everyone, including yourself, with respect Enter class quietly and respectfully Follow directions Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself

Discipline Signings Students may receive a discipline signing for the following offences: Excessive talking Disruptive behavior Inappropriate comments to classmates Out of seat Throwing something Disrespect

Discipline Signings 1st Signing – Warning 2nd Signing – Team warning letter/parent contact 3rd Signing – Parent contact and 1 hour after school detention 4th Signing – Parent contact and 2 hour after school detention 5th + Signing – Office referral

Tardies There is a four minute passing period between 45 minute classes when students can go to their locker or go to the restroom. During 90 minute classes, students may be given a break by the teacher. Students not in class when the tardy bell rings will be considered late. Tardies will result in a 2 hour detention after school.

Paychecks Students receive one paycheck at the beginning of each 6 weeks. It is the student’s responsibility to keep up with his/her paycheck. If a visit to the restroom during class or to go to the last class/locker to get something is necessary, the paycheck will be used. Each time a student leaves class, it will cost $100. At the end of the six weeks, 10% of the remaining balance may be used as extra credit for one class. The student will need to know what class by knowing his/her averages.

Homework Homework will be assigned weekly for LA/SS and daily for Math/Science. Homework assignments will be written in the student planners when it is assigned. Homework is due at the beginning of class. Failure to turn in homework will result in points being taken off.

Intermediate Grading Policy The grading policy can be found by in the team info section of our website. This will show the district policies for how grades are figured as well as late work policies. If you haven’t already, please set up an account in Infinite Campus to check your student’s grades regularly.

Class Website We have a website that is updated weekly with lesson plans and homework. We will also have updates, notes and other things for the students to see or do Please visit it weekly to see what is going on. Lillardcats.weebly.com This PowerPoint will be posted there as well.
