Short term effect It can increase wakefulness and physical activity Decrease your appetite Variety of cardiovascular problems, including rapid heart rate and increased blood pressure Hyperthermia and convulsions may occur with methamphetamine overdose and if not treated immediately it can result in death

Regional Statistics A survey showed that there are no reports of methamphetamine use in Lenawee county.

National Statistics According to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health approximately 1.2 million people (0.4 percent of the population) reported using methamphetamine in the past year.

Form of addiction The forms of addiction are Physical and psychological. Meth acts on the brain hours longer than most stimulants, increasing the risk of paranoia, hallucinations, and other persistent psychotic symptoms. It can also cause decay to the teeth.
