Model UN Secretariat Positions Applications due April 5

All Secretariat Applicants Minimum GPA of 3.5 No disciplinary concerns Selection process for officers: Turn in application and letter of recommendation on time Interview after school with Mr. Sigren, Ms. Miller, Mr. Johnson, and current officers

Secretary General Responsibilities: Running and organizing all Secretariat meetings and agendas. Coordinating the completion of activities assigned to other members of the Secretariat. Developing the vision for our Model UN program, including selecting speakers and humanitarian efforts. Communicating with sponsors and administration as needed for Model UN events. Writing a background guide for SISMUN Speaking at SISMUN in November Lead chair training for SISMUN Monitor background guide completion and quality for all-school simulation

Undersecretary of Public Relations Responsibilities Writing a background guide for SISMUN Attend regularly scheduled meetings Documenting activities throughout the year Maintaining Instagram/social media presence Creating a videostory for SISMUN and end of year event Making flyers for fundraising activities Maintaining and updating the MUN Hall of Fame Making announcements after conferences, for fundraisers, or as needed

Undersecretary of External Affairs Responsibilities: Attend regularly scheduled meetings. Write a background guide for SISMUN Communicating with other schools for SISMUN Sending invoices and handling payments for other schools Completing paperwork for conferences and out of town trips Researching potential conferences

Undersecretary of SWAC (Student World Affairs Council) Responsibilities: Write a background guide for SISMUN Attend all meetings Keep track of and select SWAC events that we should attend Meeting all requirements for maintaining SWAC Coordinating paperwork for SWAC

Undersecretary of Funds Responsibilities Write background guide for SISMUN Attend all meetings Set fundraising goals and monitor progress Collect money for student trips Count money once a week during lunch to track funding Maintain a detailed ledger of MUN finances

Undersecretary of Conference Write background guide for SISMUN Attend all meetings Create google folder (or some other tool) to monitor student preparation for conferences Give feedback on student work for conferences Hold trainings leading up to conferences to help students prepare
