One dead at University of Texas

One person was killed and three were injured in a stabbing attack Monday afternoon on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin. Two of the students injured have been released from the hospital. Details on their injuries were not available. The suspect is a UT student and is in custody. His possible motive is under investigation. The stabbings occurred near Gregory Gym. Fenves said officials do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the campus community but have increased patrols as a precaution.

In Other News The US State Department has issued a travel alert for its citizens going to Europe, citing the continued threat of terror attacks. One US official said that the terror threat in Europe is as high as it's ever been. President Donald Trump is set to speak by phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, their first call since Russia denounced a US military strike against Syria last month.
