Review report #9 Form groups of 2-3. Compare your decisions. What similarities can you find, even though you have all had to make different decisions? Report out.

Review Updike’s “A & P” Stay in your group. Consider four discussion questions: What is the main character’s personality? What kind of attitude does he have toward her surroundings? What decision does she have to make? What clues hint toward his decision? Does he make a good decision? Report out.

Read another story In your group, you’ll read & discuss either Joyce’s “Eveline.” Consider: How does personality affect decision-making? Discuss in your group.  Report out.

In-class essay Write a handwritten essay of 1-2 pages that discusses the following prompt: When making decisions, I find that I am most like Sammy <or> Eveline … Paragraphs, specific examples.

Creating a works cited page Purdue OWL For your report, you need not worry about exact formatting, etc., but you must have some way of documenting where you’ve obtained your information.

Generating solutions  making decisions Consider the article “Inside 23andMe Founder Anne Wojcicki’s $99 DNA Revolution.” What are the problems? What might be the solutions? What decisions will need to be made?
