Presentation transcript:

Bellwork Week 12, Day 1 This week your Bellwork will be an assignment in your ISN. So, turn to a new page in your ISN. Title it, “Eggshell Geodes,” and update your Table of Contents. On the first line of the page, copy the definition below. Supersaturation: a state of a solution that contains more dissolved material (alum) than could be dissolved by the solvent (water) under normal circumstances.

Bellwork Week 12, Day 2 Skip a line after copying yesterday’s definition. Complete the following sentence and explain. We are modeling __________________ and ___________________ rock types. (Now explain why…)

Bellwork Week 12, Day 3 Skip a line from yesterday’s prompt. Describe your initial observations. (What does your geode look like today? Have any crystals formed? What do they look like? Are there a lot or just a few? Are they large or small? Where on the eggshell are they forming?)

Bellwork Week 12, Day 4 Skip a line after yesterday’s prompt. Describe your eggshell today. (How is it different from yesterday? Are there more crystals? Are they larger? Are they forming in other areas? What else about them?)

Bellwork Week 12, Day 5 Three things I learned in science class this week: 1. 2. 3.
