It’s cold especially in the Arctic! The book The Arctic Life discussed how plants, animals and people adapt to life in the Arctic! We read many non-fiction books and passages about Arctic animals. We discussed the main idea and supporting details, non-fiction text features, and facts. We are learning about many different animals that live in the Arctic! Did you know that the Arctic tern travels the farthest of any other animal on Earth and that the walrus has over 450 whiskers?! We learned about the Arctic fox and snowy owl and added some great questions to our KWL chart about Arctic life.
