Rationing: You were allowed: 50g butter per week 1 fresh egg per week 100g bacon or ham per week 50 g cheese per week How many eggs would you get in a year? How many would four adults get in this time? A recipe calls for 350g of bacon; how long will it take before you get enough? In six months how much butter would you get? In one year how much cheese would you get? Because of shortages the following year this is reduced by half, so how much would you get? A chicken can lay 7 eggs a week so in five weeks how many eggs will it produce and how many people will that chicken provide for?
