CRCT Data 2013 Sweetwater, Douglas County, Georgia Grades 3-5 Percentage Meets or Exceeds The trend remains the same from 2011-2013. How do we identify the weaknesses in our instruction to better fit the needs of our students? Subject Area

Data Summary Strengths 4th Grade test scores are fairly consistent. Math is more of a strength for 4th graders than it is for 3rd and 5th graders. Students also perform considerably better in Science and Social Studies than in 3rd grade. Reading continues to be a strength, especially in 5th Grade. Reading scores have increased in all three grade levels from 2011-2013. 5th grade math scores have gotten increasingly better over the past 3 years.

Data Summary Weaknesses Sweetwater’s test scores continue to fall below the scores of both district and state. Math continues to show the biggest gap. 3rd grade math scores continue to fall below 70% mastery when the goal is at least 85%.

Next Steps Where do we go from here? How do we identify the learner-centered problem in our areas of weakness? Why do you think we are weak in these areas? Consider teaching practices versus blaming student achievement. What can we do in our instructional practices to improve student achievement?
