Personal Experiences Continued As a volleyball and basketball coach, I have been responsible for tryouts, completing eligibility paperwork, planning and organizing an annual tournament, assisting with hosting district and regional tournaments, safety and first aid, and gym maintenance to ensure the program grows and progress in a satisfactory manner. As a teacher, coach, and News Team Sponsor, I have been in charge of planning field trips, talent shows, fundraisers, and chaperoning various events. In my various positions with the schools, I have positively interacted with the community, parents, and the school staff for the benefit of the school, the academic program, the athletic program, and the wellness and development of the students. I am a dedicated, hard working individual who overcame much adversity to attend college while working full time to pay for it beginning as a teenager until I received my Bachelors Degree. I have also successfully managed participating in 2 grant programs, teaching, coaching, church responsibilities, raising my family, and earning my Masters of Science degree in Education Leadership I have also successfully managed restaurants, which required managing the day to day operations, fiscal accounting, employee training, hiring, and public relations. I am a people person with a loving, compassionate approach towards people and life. I always attempt to stay positive, see the good in people, and help bring that out by treating them the way I want to be treated.

Personal Vision Statement It is of my personal belief that each and every student can learn and achieve. Students are individuals, not robots. While one student may respond to one type of instruction, another student may be out in left field. It is the responsibility of each and every teacher to insure that each student, regardless of their learning styles and interests, has the opportunity to graduate high school with the knowledge and skill set to become responsible young adults and contributing members of society. To achieve this, teachers must take advantage of instructional time by keeping the students engaged and interacting at all times. Instruction must be differentiated on a regular basis to keep each student on track within the goals of the educational program. Fun and exciting projects and activities must be sprinkled in to keep interest piqued. Classroom management needs to be an important focus to enable this to happen. For this to happen, schools and teachers need administrators with good people skills, communication skills, managerial skills, and strong supervision skills. Administrators need to be firm, yet compassionate with a vision for the direction the school needs to go and a plan for getting their goals reached. Administrators need to be consistent in administering rules, discipline, and the overall plan of the school. With my past experiences, personality traits, and personal skills, I believe that I am the right person to handle the responsibility and challenging position of Principal of East Lincoln High School.

Personal Vision Statement Continued… I believe that School culture is critical for attaining goals, so I plan on treating students, parents, teachers, and staff as fairly as possible and will seek input from them to reach and attain the goals set for the school, the teachers, and the students. I believe that utilizing all school resources, supplies, and programs is essential for student and teacher successes. This can be achieved with on hands training and professional development for teachers to benefit the students in the classroom. I believe that parent and community involvement are essential to the culture of the school, the development of teachers, staff, and students, as well as the attainment of goals. This can be achieved with the addition of a parent-teacher organization. An online calendar and homework calendar will also be created to keep parents informed of school activities. I believe that school law and the Bill of Rights should apply to each student regardless of race, social and ethnic background, and economic status. I will strive to uphold a strong ethical code when dealing with each and every student and parent to be the role model that the school, students, teachers, and staff need to achieve our goals and school vision. I will also strive to maintain principles of confidentiality within the school and community. I will strive to maintain a proper level of authority and appreciation that meets the standards and needs of the school without overstepping my bounds.
