Definitions EXERCISE: Planned or structured physical activity requiring physical effort, aimed at improving health and fitness. Life-long physical activity: Enjoyable, health-enhancing movement that is sustained through life e.g. Walking, Yoga Lifetime Sport: Activities that can be enjoyed over the course of a lifetime, e.g. table tennis, tennis or badminton.
Benefits of Regular Exercise: Physical Active people are 50% less likely to have CHD than inactive people. Can prevent Cancer Lower blood pressure Physical Benefits Preserves bone density reducing the chance of osteoporosis Reduces the chance of stroke, hypertension & blood clotting Less chance of suffering diabetes, and your weight to be maintained.
