Expectations “Learning a language is not an easy task, but there are strategies you can do to make your experience more fun and more enjoyable. I have come up with tips and strategies to get you started in your success of learning a language!!” -Senora Patterson

Expectations 1. Be prepared and ready to start when I come into class. 2. Take out all required materials. 3. Follow instructions the first time given. 4. Raise your hand and wait for permission to speak. 5. Use positive language.

**Failure to be prepared for class will result in an infraction.** Being prepared 1. Spiral Notebook 2. Hola Textbook 3. Pencil or pen with an eraser 4. Homework **Failure to be prepared for class will result in an infraction.**

At the beginning of class 1. Sit quietly with materials. 2. Place homework on your desk. 3. Begin the warm-up assignment or wait for directions from Senora Patterson. **Let’s practice!!!**

Heading papers All papers that are turned in (homework/class work/quizzes/tests) should be headed in the following manner: On the right margin on the top line First and Last Name: Jane Smith School name: St. John the Evangelist Class: Spanish Date: 8/30/14 Assignment p. 45 #1-15

Organization Vocabulary Sheets/Daily Handouts - Keep all year in a safe place to prepare for finals Tests - Keep all year. This is a great place to start studying for finals. Homework- Keep until the end of the trimester, unless you have not taken the chapter test Quizzes- Use these to help study for the chapter test. Keep till the end of the trimester, unless you have not taken the chapter test yet. Projects- Keep all projects and grades until the end of the trimester

Homework/ La Tarea 1. Complete la tarea from the textbook in you spiral. It should include a proper heading with the page number and exercise. 2. Homework will be checked at the beginning of class. 3. Homework assignments will be announced during class, written on the board and posted on the Share website by the end of the school day. **Failure to turn in or complete homework will result in an infraction.**
