ENERGY ENERGY APPEARS IN MANY FORMS AND IS USED IN DIFFERENT WAYS THE MAIN FORMS OF ENERGY ARE: MECHANICAL ENERGY: PRODUCES MOVEMENT. EXAMPLE. PUSH A SHOPPING TROLLEY CHEMICAL ENERGY: STORED IN SOME SUBSTANCES. EXAMPLE. PASTA OR BATTERIES THERMAL ENERGY: ENERGY IN THE FORM OF HEAT. EXAMPLE: OVEN, MICROWAVE. LIGHT ENERGY:ENERGY IN THE FORM OF LIGHT. EXAMPLE: TORCHES. ELECTRICAL ENERGY: ELECTRICITY. EXAMPLE: TELEVISION. NUCLEAR ENERGY: IN NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS, NUCLEAR ENERGY IS TRANSFORMED INTO ELECTRICAL ENERGY.

ENERGY NEVER DISSAPEAR. IT CAN BE TRANSFORMED FROM ONE TYPE OF ENERGY INTO ANOTHER. EXAMPLES. CARS TRANSFORM THE PETROL INTO MOVEMENT BY THE ENGINE. FANS TRANSFORM ELECTRICAL ENERGY INTO THERMAL ENERGY SOLAR PANELS TRANSFORM LIGHT ENERGY FROM THE SUN INTO ELECTRICITY

RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES SOURCES OF ENERGY RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES HYDROELECTRIC ENERGY: WE GET ENERGY FROM WATER THAT IS MOVING OR FALLING. WIND ENERGY: WE GET ENERGY FROM THE MOVEMENT OF THE AIR SOLAR ENERGY: WE GET ENERGY FROM THE SUN IN THE FORM OF LIGHT OR HEAT BIOFUELS: WE GET ENERGY FROM PLAN AND ANIMALS PRODUCTS. SOLID(BIOMASS) LIQUID(BIOLIQUID) GAS(BIOGASES)

NON- RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES SOURCES OF ENERGY NON- RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES PETROLEUM: IT FORMS UNDERGROUND FROM DECAYED PLANTS AND ANIMALS. IT IS USED AS FUEL( OIL, DIESEL, PETROL) IT IS ALSO USED TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY COAL: IT IS COMPOSED MAINLY OF CARBON. IT IS FORMED UNDERGROUND FROM DECAYED PLANTS. COAL IS USED AS FUEL AND TO PRODUCE ELECTRICITY NATURAL GAS: IT IS FORM UNDERGROUND FROM DECAYED ORGANISM. IT IS USED AS FUEL AND TO PRODUCED ELECTRICITY URANIUM: IT IS FOUND IN ROCKS. IT IS USED TO PRODUCE HEAT AND ELECTRICITY.

USING NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES CAUSES TWO PROBLEMS. HOW CAN WE PROTECT OUR PLANET? THE SOURCES ARE LIMITED POLLUTION( GASES CAUSE GLOBAL WARMING AND ACID RAIN) USING NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES CAUSES TWO PROBLEMS. REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE THE THREE Rs PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT
