What is a Home Health Care Aide? “An Elder’s helper” Allow for an elder to stay in their homes while providing assistance with daily tasks

Tasks of a Home Health Care Aide The list is dependent on individual circumstances, but the range of duties is long and endless. General overview of duties are: Housekeeping and laundry services Grocery shopping and running errands Help patient/resident with personal services (bathing and dressing) Monitors patient/resident conditions both physical and mental states

Education No formal education is required, however each state varies on the training aspect. Many employers require their workers to be certified. Requirements vary state to state, but the minimum is 75 hours of training and hands-on skills.

Average Salary Average salary in the U.S. is $22,400 Lowest 10% of Home Health Care Aides earn $17,040 a year Highest 10% earn $29,560 a year
