Read the question carefully before you begin!! I buy a pen for 70p and a pad for 20p. How much have I spent altogether? Underline the important words and numbers to help you!

Decide which operation you are going to use! 70p and 20p altogether 70+20=

Lets try another!!! I buy three apples for 8p. How much have I spent altogether?

Good! What about this one? I bought 6 sweets for 2p each. How much have I spent altogether?

Now youre getting really good! What about a harder one? I bought two apples at 4p and three pears at 3p. How much have I spent altogether?
