12 April 2016 Ms. Smith CCR English 10 Writer’s Notebook – for notes Raisin in the Sun Intro 12 April 2016 Ms. Smith CCR English 10 I can read and comprehend complex literary texts independently and proficiently.
A Raisin in the Sun You will have to read out loud. It is worth points to read out loud and points to pay attention. Each act (three in total) will have a ten question quiz that covers content and vocabulary. Each quiz will be worth 50 points. Because I’m not sure how long it will take us to finish each act, I cannot tell you when the quizzes will be. Just know, they will be the day after we finish the act. Because this is 4th quarter, you should be pretty independent by now. Instead of reviewing each scene/act with you, you will be reviewing with each other at the end of each day! If you are absent or I am absent (testing next week), you are to continue reading. There are no excuses for saying you didn’t know what needed to be done. I would mark in your notebook each day which act and scene we are on. It also doesn’t hurt to mark down the page numbers we read that day as well. You can write complete sentences, you can bullet point, you can make diagrams, or you can not take any notes at all. It’s up to you. These are your books, so you may highlight and write in them as well.
