History of Clemson University The roots of agriculture run deeply in South Carolina’s history. After the Civil War devastated Southern land and economy, many questioned if the agricultural way of life could survive. Thomas Green Clemson, son-in- law of South Carolina’s foremost statesman John C. Calhoun, believed that the agricultural field of study could improve through science. He offered up part of his state (Fort Hill) to found the agricultural and mechanical college today Clemson University. Through the years, faculty, students, alumni, and fans have all realized the importance of Thomas G. Clemson’s vision and how important the higher level of education was for him. Clemson University started off with barely 600 undergraduates and graduated with only 17 kids to now the great school of Clemson with over 20,000 in all.

Application Materials In order to apply at Clemson University you need to have either the SAT or ACT completed with your scores. You also need your average GPA for you to complete the application.

Clemson University offers undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees in various majors. Clemson has honors programs for the elite students which gives them opportunities others may not have available. Internships and studying abroad are two opportunities that students are able to consider that broadens their academic experience. However, Clemson University requires you to maintain a certain grade point ratio. If your GPR is below a 1.5, you will be put on academic alert. The student will be put on watch and they will be notified. Academic Probation occurs when they have consistently a 2.0 or lower; this will result in either suspension or dismissal depending on how long they have that GPR. Clemson University prides themselves on providing students' academic support to all so that everyone has the chance to be successful. Academics

Some examples are merit scholarships (grade based), grants and loans (need based) and work study. Most deadlines for the FAFSA and other financial aid forms are to be submitted by March 1st.

Career Services Clemson University School of Nursing have nearly 100 percent job placement rate within three months of graduation. While earning your bachelor's degree the faculty at Clemson provide opportunities for hands-on experiences which facilitates relationships with employers.

On Campus Living At Clemson University freshman have a first- come first-serve basis. The first people to get their acceptance letter and to sign to that school are the ones that get the nicest dorms. The later you sign to the school the less chance of you getting a nice dormitory. You are guaranteed to have a dormitory for the first 2 years of your schooling at Clemson and then after that you can rent apartments or houses from the school to still live on campus or you are free  to go other places near the university. If you don’t request a roommate (which you are able to do), then they match you up with another student with similar interests. There is a no alcohol or drug policy at Clemson University and if you are found with your punishments will vary.

Questions I have Amount of Students that get into the School of Nursing? Is there a curfew for people to be out on a weekday? What are the punishments for kids that get caught with alcohol and drugs? Do I need to take any classes in high school to help me to get into Clemson's School of Nursing? How many nursing classes do you take in your freshman year in the school of nursing? How long are breaks? How many do we have? Can you study in the summer by taking online classes to finish earlier?  How do you sign up to be in the school of Nursing? If you drop out of your major what do you need to do in order to get into a different major? What happens if you get caught consistantly breaking polivy rules that they have?
