Time to read… Kitty Genovese article. Let’s popcorn read! Think about our vocabulary terms from yesterday… Bystander Upstander Human Rights Empathy

Book Written About Bystander Apathy

Bystanders Watching Kitty’s Attack

Your Task Going Forward… Imagine you are living in Kew Gardens in It is one day after the murder of Kitty Genovese. Your community has been asked to create posters to hang around the city to remind everyday citizens to take action when others are in need instead of watching horrible things happen to others while you sit back and watch.

PhotoShop - Poster Assignment Create an important slogan or message that will catch the attention of people passing by your poster while walking through the streets. Link your message with a visual that represents the message you are communicating.

Poster Reflection In Microsoft Word, please answer the following questions. 2-3 sentences per question How does your poster capture the attention of a community member walking down the street? What reaction do you want the community member to have when they read your poster? How can hanging your poster encourage people to report crimes in the future? (reporting, not snitching!)
