Atlas A bound collection of maps. Standard WS 1.3 Objective: Understand the structure and organization of reference materials Dictionary A book that lists the words in alphabetical order and gives their meaning. Glossary A alphabetical list of often difficult or specialized words with their definitions, often placed at the back of a book. Thesaurus A dictionary of synonyms and antonyms in alphabetical order . Atlas A bound collection of maps. Encyclopedia A book or set of books giving information on many subjects arranged alphabetically.  Steps Chose one reference material and make a circle map for it. 2. Write the reference material in the middle of your paper and draw a circle around it. 3.
