Let’s Play Simon Says!

Maria’s Theory Maria believed in individual learning style of teaching, She expressed that there are 3 aspects of learning for the child, creating a learning triangle for the children The Teacher The Children The Environment Maria believed that the environment in a classroom will directly reflect to the childrens’ learning, if the classroom is based upon basic learning techniques then the child will pick up on what is being taught faster #1

More About Her Theory Maria worked mostly with special needs children She would give a small range of toys for the children to play with She supported giving children freedom of movement within the classroom She thought that giving children this freedom in a controlled environment would support optimal development and fairness (Child- lead classroom) Time restraints Focused on the group Children in groups of an age span of 3 years

The Environment Maria believed a good teaching environment had to include the following: An arrangement that supports movement Beauty, harmony, and cleanliness Objects and furniture a comfortable size for the children Limitation of materials Order Nature in the classroom

Teacher The teacher follows the child around Makes sure there is no trouble caused Gives the child freedom Trains them like jedi
