Determining Angles We know how to solve most trigonometric equations. Except we don’t know how to solve for an angle inside of a trig function. EX 1: Solve sin x = √3/2 EX 2: Solve cos x = -√2/2

What Does This Mean? Even though we can just look at the table of values that we each have, we need to know ACTUALLY how we can solve for this. We use inverse trig functions. For instance, sin and sin-1 are inverse functions.
