Gathering Blue Chapter s 15 & 16

Do Now p. 10 minutes of continuous writing you may use your book Using specific examples from the story, explain the similarities between Kira, Thomas, and Jo. Then, think about the childhood of each character before living in the Council Edifice. What seems to be a common event in their childhood? What conclusion can you draw based on this one fact?

Chapters 15-16 Read chapter 15 & 16 & take notes on the questions that follow(RRJ p. 89) What connotation is associated with the word “artist” (the answer is not specifically stated in your book) What is suspicious about Annabella’s death? What did Kira find that was shocking when she attempted to visit Jo, and what does Thomas say about it? What is the third thing that the three have in common? Why would Kira need her scrap of cloth when she visits Jo’s room in the middle of the night? Why are Kira, Thomas, and Jo not really free?
