¿Cuántos…?

The question word ¿Cuánto(a)? Is asking HOW MUCH? Cuánto MUST match what is describing in GENDER and NUMBER! ¿Cuánta tarea tienes? (How much homework do you have?) ¿Cuánto papel tienes? (How much paper do you have?)

The question word ¿Cuántos(as)? is asking HOW MANY? Cuántos MUST match what it is describing in GENDER and NUMBER! ¿Cuántas mochilas tienes? (How many bookbags do you have?) ¿Cuántos libros tienes? (How many books do you have?)

One way to answer questions with ¿Cuánto? Is to use: mucho(a)  a lot of, much poco(a)  little, not much muchos(as)  a lot of, many pocos(as)  few, not many Yo tengo mucha tarea. Yo tengo poco papel. Yo tengo muchas mochilas. Yo tengo pocos libros.
