Synergy Sports Technology An statistical & analytical program

why I use synergy? Synergy is not a software often found in the classroom. It is a tool used in sports analysis. Being a college basketball coach (and not being in a classroom setting), this is an advanced technology feature that I use every day.

What is it? Synergy is a statistical and analytical software that is used by sports analysts and coaches around the country to help prepare for competition and make their teams better This is a technology I use daily, as a college basketball coach, to analyze my team and also to scout the opponent and develop a game plan for success.

What does it do? Synergy is a software where users can search any team, game, conference, match, etc. and watch it on film. Not only does it show the game as a movie, it can be broken down by clips. Each clip is scripted with what is taking place and who is doing it. There are stats compiled on each player and team in great detail. For example, in basketball, it will tell you how many times a player goes left and shoots off of a screen versus going left and pulling up for a jumper.

SAMR Model I would say that Synergy falls under Redefinition. Film was always able to be watched, but never in this great of detail. Since we can now see it in great detail, we can create even more in depth analysis on the games to prepare for the next game/practice better.
