November 3, 2015 You have 5 minutes to find the ten mistakes and answer the questions I have graded your last bell ringers MAKE SURE YOU DO THEM EVERYDAY AND PICK THEM UP IF YOU ARE ABSENT!

Today’s Objectives You will present your compare & contrast paragraphs to the class so that your peers can view a variety of rhetorical methods and analyses and add them to your repertoire of writing strategies You will acquire the necessary background knowledge about the Black Death by submitting a mini-research paper employing the school databases and correct source attribution You will investigate the advanced words present in “The Masque of Red Death” in order to facilitate comprehension of the story by creating flashcards and taking notes based on your classmate’s analysis

Library on Thursday For the second part of the period on Thursday we will be going to the library to CHECK OUT BOOKS! Bring any $ you owe Everyone needs to check out a book (or have one to read) Beginning next week your homework will be to read the book you chose and create a project You will be required to AR test on the book as well I will give the details on Thursday concerning what books will be suitable for the project and what the project guidelines are exactly

Presentations Remember how we behave during presentations: Audience NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS! Be positive and supportive Fill out your review sheet for EVERY presentation (except your own) Clap after every presentation Presenters It’s okay if you mess up--just keep going Everyone stand together
