The reading loft, enchanted oak, and mural were all done by parent volunteers. The students at Smith each stamped a leaf on the mural when it was created.

View from Loft The library used to be an auditorium. This library is warm and inviting. The librarian does not do a lot of teaching, but coordinates many programs/special details to encourage students to enter and enjoy the library.

Conclusions This is a beautiful library space. The attractive and inviting features make this library a place students would look forward to visiting. The librarian does not do much instruction in this library, but it would be easy to do in the current set up. The emphasis in this library is on enjoying reading.
