SPACE!

Definitions Universe: everything that exists including all matter and energy everywhere. Astronomy: the study of what is beyond Earth. Constellations: groups of stars that form shapes or patterns. Solar System: our sun and all of the objects (moons, planets) that travel around it.

Definitions Star: matter that emits a huge amount of energy Planet: matter that revolves around a star

Our Solar System Consists of: Sun 8 planets Satellites (i.e. moons ) 3 dwarf planets Comets and asteroids Planets orbit around the sun (revolution)

Inner Solar System Sun Mercury Venus Earth Mars

Outer Solar System Jupiter Saturn Uranus Neptune

LOOK AT ALL THE SPACE!

Size of planets

Current Abbreviated Theory of Solar System Origin An immense cloud of gas and dust called the solar nebula started rotating. The sun’s nuclear reaction began at the centre of the nebula. The planets formed by accumulating material within the rotating cloud. solar system
