Creative Darkroom Grade 12 Solarization, hand painting, sepia toning, blurring edges. Your choice.
Solarization https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JOs4nQE5Us
In the developer, have it partially developed. Place your print in water. Turn on the light, but in our case, bring it out of the darkroom for 3 minutes. Go back in and continue the regular process.
Blurring edges I found a video on using Vaseline on a plate. No need. Just use crinkled saran wrap. Move it around with your hand. Get the same effect.
DON’T USE VASELINE ON GLASS. Just saran wrap, same idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EvZkyAQ4en4
Sepia Toning 2 baths 1 bath, bleaches. The more our bleach, the more sepia. 2nd bath, sepia. Do this in daylight. No solid video found.
If you can paint!!! We have to use matte or semi gloss paper. Do your print, do 3 copies in case you make an error. Keep it highcontrast. Have it rinsed and dried. Paint right onto the paper itself. Oil paints, watered down. https://style-republik.com/lady-duff-gordon/
the paints were watered down to make them more transparent. Also make sure to keep a cotton swab or a piece of paper towel handy in case you mess up so you can wipe off the mistake right away. Keep in mind that acrylic paints dry quite quickly. Judith Monroe Artwork and photography.
