What is Worcestershire Voices? Supports an independent and influential Voluntary and Community Sector Across all parts of the sector – Health, Young People, Sport, Environment, Faith, ... Large and small organisations and clubs Registered Charities and Community Groups Builds stronger ‘strategic’ relationships Does not replace present arrangements

What will Worcestershire Voices do? Promote the development of an independent and influential, collective voice for the VCS Develop strong and effective links with the VCS, public and private sectors Raise the profile of the role and capabilities of VCS organisations in Worcestershire Identify and respond to the key issues affecting the VCS Act as a clear route through which the public and private sector can engage in open and constructive dialogue with the VCS Provide strategic leadership for the VCS

Principles and Values of Worcestershire Voices Openness & Transparency Inclusivity Sustainability Accountability Independence

Parts of the Worcestershire Voices model - 1 Web Portal (under development) Up-to-date information relating to the sector Overview of the strategic networks in the county Information about the board and its work Opportunity to sign up to receive information relating to your area of interest

Parts of the Worcestershire Voices model - 2 Virtual Voices Panel (Under development) Web-based so members don’t need to travel Sector-wide method of engagement – large and small groups can join Provide intelligence / data to support the sector’s ‘influencing’ work Act as a touchstone for the board and other ‘voices’ Split into ‘themes’ – Health and Well-Being, Sport, Environment, etc First ‘pilot’ is around Health and Well-Being with around 60 – 100 members Members will be expected to be involved in discussions

Parts of the Worcestershire Voices model - 3 Worcestershire Voices Board Supporting an independent and influential Sector Engaging with Strategic Partners Listening to the sector as a whole Initial work includes: Developing relationships between VCS and the three CCGs Research about Volunteering in Worcestershire Reviewing and re-launching the Worcestershire Compact Developing the Virtual Voices Panel Developing the Web Portal Discussion at senior level with the local authority around commissioning processes
